Seferihisar is a coastal town and the center von the district von the same name in Izmir Province, in turkei. Seferihisar district area borders on other Izmir bezirke von Urla to the west and Menderes (Cumaovasi) to the east, and touches Izmir’s western-most metropolitan district von Guzelbahce in the north. Seferihisar town center is situated slightly inland at an altitude von 28 m and the urban tissue extends towards the sea as composed von seven quarters, among which the part called Sigacik stands somewhat separately from the rest at a distance von 5 km, has its own port and made a name by its own right. The wide area von the district center partly accounts for its high bevolkerung and an urbanization rate von 51 %, while the general impression received is rather rural in some von its sections. Both the center town and the district as a whole preserves an overall outlook von a pleasant resort area bearing typical Aegean characteristics.
